About Hercules Wrought Iron Works, Inc.

Hercules was founded in 1959 by two brothers, Socrates and
Nicholas Myseros, in the Rosslyn neighborhood of Arlington,
Virginia. This was made possible with the help of their first cousin
Helen Lambros and her husband Dr. Bill Lambros.

The brothers had learned their blacksmith and steel fabrication
skills from their father who was a blacksmith and had his own

blacksmith shop on the ground floor of his home in southern
Greece. When the brothers came to the United States in 1956 they
were hired by Gishner Iron Works in Washington DC and worked
there as iron craftsmen for approximately 3 years, further
supplementing their skills.

In 1959 when they opened Hercules, the business flourished and
after 4 years Hercules Wrought Iron Works was moved to the
Merrifield section of Fairfax, Virginia.

Hercules stayed at this location for 42 years.

In May 2005 Hercules moved to Chantilly, Virginia and is now
owned and managed by Nicholas' son John N. Myseros.  John
holds a bachelor of arts degree in business from LaSalle
University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and has over 25 years
experience in the steel manufacturing and construction business.
